A new DX-format CMOS image sensor and new image-processing engine, EXPEED 2, both developed by Nikon, enable capture of high-definition images with superior image quality The D7000 is equipped with a new Nikon DX-format CMOS image sensor and a new image-processing engine, EXPEED 2. The camera offers an effective pixel count of 16.2-million pixels and enables capture of high-definition images exhibiting superior image quality with extremely detailed rendering and rich tones with smooth gradations. With standard sensitivity range of ISO100 - 6400 and additional increases of up to Hi 2 (ISO 25600 equivalent), the camera offers improved capability in shooting under dim lighting in the evening or indoors, and also expands possibilities for expression with rapidly moving subjects. EXPEED 2 EXPEED 2 is Nikon's latest image-processing engine developed using the ideas, expertise and technologies in digital imaging that Nikon has cultivated over the years. EXPEED 2 enables faster image processing, a high level of noise reduction, better color reproduction characteristics, and reduced power consumption. 2. A compact, elegant body that offers both authenticity and flexibility A magnesium alloy has been adopted for the top and rear covers for increased durability in a size equivalent to that of the D90. All joints on the camera body have also been sealed to ensure a greater level of water and dust resistance. 3. A new 2,016-pixel RGB metering sensor With 2,016 pixels, the new metering sensor developed for the D7000 offers twice the metering pixels as our previous high-end metering sensor. Prior to shooting, the 2,016-pixel RGB sensor acquires accurate information regarding the scene. That information is then reflected in autofocusing, automatic exposure, i-TTL balanced fill-flash, and auto white balance control for extremely faithful images. 4. A new 39-point AF systemAn AF sensor module with 39 effective focus points
    • An AF sensor module with 39 effective focus points

Adoption of the new Multi-CAM4800DX autofocus sensor module enables certain acquisition and tracking of the intended subject with 39 focus points. Nine cross-type sensors at the most frequently used center of the frame allow for certain acquisition of the intended subject. In addition, the number of active focus points can also be limited to 11.
    • Superior subject acquisition and tracking performance

Depending upon the scene or subject, the AF-area mode can be selected from Single-point AF, Dynamic-area AF, 3D-tracking and Auto-area AF. Wide focus areas containing a large number of focus points work together to accurately acquire and track the subject.
    5. D-Movie for recording and editing of full HD movies The D7000 is equipped with the D-Movie function that enables recording of high-definition movies (1920 x 1080p, 24 fps) exhibiting superior video quality. Autofocusing during movie recording is possible using contrast-detect AF. When the focus mode is set to Full time-servo AF (AF-F) and the AF-area mode to Subject-tracking AF, the camera automatically maintains focus on a subject moving throughout the frame in three dimensions. The D7000 also offers in-camera movie editing functions that allow users to save a single frame as a still JPEG image or delete unnecessary portions from the beginning or end of movie files. Recording of stereo sound via an external microphone is also supported. Other functions and features new to the D7000
    • A glass pentaprism for viewfinder frame coverage of approximately 100% and magnification of approximately 0.94x
    • High-speed continuous shooting of up to 100 shots at approximately 6 fps, and a very precise and durable shutter unit that has passed testing for 150,000 cycles
    • New U1 and U2 settings on the mode dial allow users to assign frequently used settings including ISO sensitivity and exposure compensation, for instant recall, by simply rotating the mode dial
    • Live view function that can be smoothly enabled with the dedicated live view switch
    • Double SD memory card slot that enable use of two SD memory cards (SDHC, SDXC also supported)
    • The Rechargeable Li-ion Battery EN-EL15, which enables capture of 1,050 shots, when fully charged

Samsung NX10

Samsung will be displaying its new NX10 digital SLR (DSLR) camera during the 2010 International Consumer Electronics show that will be held in Las Vegas starting Thursday.
The NX10 has a 14.6 MP APS-C size CMOS sensor and  large 3.0” AMOLED screen in a compact body that measures 4.8” x 3.4” x 1.6” (excluding the projecting parts of the camera).
Consumers want something compact that they can carry around with them all day,  says SJ Park, CEO of Samsung Digital Imaging Company.
"For the first time in the market, Samsung has successfully integrated an APS-C size sensor into a compact body by eliminating the mirror box, meaning that our users can now be as creative as they want to be on the move without having to compromise on image quality,” he says.
The company´s latest innovation, the new DRIMe II Pro engine and advanced AF algorithm, also provide ultra fast AF speed with the higher precision of contrast AF.
Additionally, the 3.0" AMOLED display provides 10,000 times faster response rate than conventional LCDs, has a far lower power consumption and higher contrast ratio 10,000:1 vs. 500:1.
Users can also record video with HD movie recording (H.264 codec).
The Samsung NX10 also includes in-depth manual controls and a Smart Auto function which automatically detects the surrounding environment of the shot and selects the best shooting mode.
Its Smart Range feature also enables the user to vividly express both bright areas and dark areas in the same frame, and the Supersonic Dust Reduction system keeps those dust particles clear of the image sensor that can often impair an image.
It even senses when the user brings the camera close to their face to look through the viewfinder, and puts the AMOLED screen on standby to conserve power.
The NX10 will be available in two colors -- Noble Black and Titan Silver.

The New Sony 3D TV

Wow Its So Realistic, LOVE IT !!

Sony’s 3D TV Commercial

Sony has released a football-themed television commercial for 3D TV, featuring 2D doubled versions of Kaka. The ad was launched on television in Europe during the final of the Champions League in Madrid, along with an outdoor projection in Plaza Santa Ana, Madrid. A fully-functioning 3D version will be broadcast in cinemas across Europe prior to screenings of 3D films throughout the summer. “Please do not adjust your set… This is 3D TV… Maybe it’s time to get a 3D TV” at the beginning of the year was all about two things, tablet devices and 3DTV. The first tablet device – the Apple iPad will be launched next month – but it is the 3D TV that we are interested in most. Sony is to announce a range of new models that will be released in June and July – just in time for the PS3 3D games in the summer.
Not only is Sony launching a range of 3DTVs, Samsung and Panasonic are to unveil theirs at events planned for this week. The new televisions will look much like the NX800 series, which as you can see from the images on Engadget looks sleek and sexy.

The New Nokia 888

About The Concept

NOKIA 888
nokia 888
*design concept
“Form follows you”
A personal mobile communication device which lets you be free and fun. It is light, simple and carefree. You can change its form according to your needs during the day.
*target
It is targeted to the young consumers who are likely to be active and take place in a lot of different activities.
*why this target ?
Because they move and change place too much. They do a lot of different things during the day. So that’s what my design offers : to adjust to the moment, the place and the function.
*technologies that are used
It uses liquid battery, speech recognition, flexible touch screen, touch sensitive body cover which lets it understand and adjust to the environment. It has a simple programmable body mechanism so that it changes forms in different situations.
*the functionality of design
You dont have to carry it in your pocket or on your wrist. You can carry it anywhere, in anyform. You can roll it, bend it, put on your clothes like a clip. It also makes some form changes that makes it more ergonomical: i.e. when you want to talk on the phone, the body form turns into the form of the good old telephone. You can personalize these forms and record them. So it fits you the best in the way that you have chosen. The functions that it has also create a feeling of electronical pet, as it senses your moves, understand what you want, respond you in the best way. It learns you, to fit you better. Also e-motions lets you send forms to the other 888 users. It could be the shape of a heart or a small dance. This way you can talk without words.
*how the user interacts
E-motions… It means electronical motions that 888 has. You can send and receive forms from / to friends. You can send a heart shape to your girlfriend, so her telephone turns into an icon of heart. Or you can send a dancing form to your friends to call them to the party tonight. This is the fun side of the product. If we look from the functionality side, 888 is quite flexible. You can put it into your pocket, roll it and make it smaller, or put on your wrist when you want to make a video call on the go. If you want to talk like a normal telephone, there you have your telephone shape. We go through a lot of places and situations in the daily life, so it seems like one form is not enough.
*what is unique ?
You can change the form of the body. Not just the color. And you can do the same by sending an e-motion to your friend.
*the inspiration
The idea is that “the perfect form” does not exist. “Form follows you”
We create the perfect form for each function.
